London Residence
The goal was to create a warm and open home for the couple while also keeping it contemporary. The two bedroom pre-war apartment was transformed into a comfortable yet modern home.
The Kitchen, bath and hallway were gutted with new plumbing and wiring introduced throughout. The new radiators installed were reminiscent of traditional ones but had an "updated" design. The kitchen stainless steel bench/counter was custom designed and finished with a slate counter top. The kitchen walls were painted with chalkboard paint, (not yet popular) so the couple could write notes to one another or keep a shopping list for their next trip to the farmers market. Thoughout the apartment attention to detail and craftsmanship was paramount.
All the switch plates and sockets were Forbes & Lomax and wall paint from Farrow & Ball. The floor was designed from salvaged roof timbers.
